Here comes the sequel
When we first heard that Scandinavian online casino software provider, Yggdrasil, was releasing a sequel to their Vikings Go Wild slot, we’ll admit we were very excited. It didn’t last. Yggdrasil could have gone a number of ways with the Vikings Go Berzerk slot. Find out which way they went in our Vikings Go Berzerk slot review.
Rewarding, or robbed?
Is the Vikings Go Berzerk slot machine rewarding, or will you end up feeling robbed and raided? Actually, it’s the latter. Yggdrasil could have made this slot exciting, new and original. Instead, they have copied over most of the original game’s features, pawning them off as new Vikings Go Berzerk slot bonuses. We’re not falling for that.
Berserker bets
Players can opt to wager various coin values, but they won’t be able to adjust any of the 25 paylines which sit upon the Vikings Go Berzerk slot game’s 5 reels. They will end up wagering between 0.25 per spin, and 250.00 per spin in total. In return, they can try and win a prize which is estimated to be worth around 400x your total bet in all.
Warlike wilds
Wilds are good in this slot, although like we’ve said, they aren’t really any different than the wilds you find in the original game. Bold wild icons can substitute for all other symbols in the slot’s base game, whilst in the Vikings Go Berzerk video slot bonus, they get a little more adventurous.
Scatters are required to trigger a Ragnärok bonus, which is basically the Viking end of the world tale. We know it as a free spins feature.
Rages and duals
During the Ragnärok bonus, players will get to enjoy free spins. Players can also see all Viking symbols do battle with sea serpents. If they are victorious, the Viking symbols will turn into wilds. If they are defeated, they remain Viking symbols.
A Rage Meter has also been included in this game. It presents players with another way to trigger the Ragnärok feature. Every time you land a win with Vikings, it fills up a little. Once it is full, the feature begins.
Yggdrasil chickens out
Aside from the Vikings Go Berzerk slot graphics – which are considerably better than those in the first game – this slot is a bit of a bust. It is certainly playable, there are no doubts about that. However, it isn’t really different from its predecessor (Vikings Go Wild). Yggdrasil chickened out when it came to including new features, and they have chosen to replicate their first, hugely successful slot again. Personally, we were expecting so much more.
