What is The Link?

The Link is the latest slot from Gamevy. Whilst Gamevy have managed to produce some pretty spiffy slots in the past (such as The Heist), they are sorely off the mark with The Link. Graphical quality

There could have been potential with The Link slot. Most of us are fine with simplistic classical slots, but they need to be faithful to the original one-armed bandits, or offer some kind of entertainment. The Link slot graphics are woefully poor. They contain primitive shapes and symbols, and they aren’t even of a decent quality.

Unfriendly stakes and structures

Things don’t really get much better for The Link slot game when we look at the wagering range, either. In fact, this is the worst part of the slot. The Link classic slot will see you forced to wager at least 1.00 per spin, and maximum bets are fixed at 10.00 a pop. You might think that with 8 paylines spread over 3 reels (in a 3×3 structure), there is value for money to be had, but read on. There’s really isn’t.

Make the most of your wilds

A wild symbol has been included in The Link, but it is the only special feature you are going to be given. Wild symbols appear as star symbols, and they can replace all other icons in the slot. If you are after a non-progressive jackpot (fixed at 5,000 coins), you can win them with wild symbols appearing in winning combinations, or by landing 5 diamonds on a payline. That’s the only perk of the wild symbol, really.

Where did my bonuses go?

You will surely notice a huge lack of The Link slot bonuses. There are none. Asking players to spend at least 1.00 a spin on a slot with such poor graphics is bad enough, but to do so with no special features is shocking. As we have already said, make the most of your wild symbols, because that is about all you’re are going to get with The Link.

Only the brave…

Firstly, let us say that there are plenty of slots out there which offer less paylines than the link, are also 3-reel classic slots, have wild symbols, and similar jackpots. So, why is this slot so badly reviewed? Well, those slots often contain multipliers (in Microgaming case), can be cheaper to play, and have not been as hyped up. A big deal was made of this new slot (due to Gamevy winning awards this year for their slots). Compared to the hype, The Link slot machine really disappoints. The truth may hurt, but few players will be giving this one a second look.
